  • The Albion Foundation Summer Camps - July & August

    The Albion Foundation are running summer multi-sports camps in our area during the holidays.

     

    The camps are HAF(Holiday Activities and Food) funded. HAF uses government funding to help run the activities, as well as supplying food for the participants each day.

     

    The Albion Foundation have teamed up with Health Kitchen UK to supply nutritious meals for every participant - meals can be booked when applying for a place. 

     

    Summer Camps are running at these locations and dates (Click on the links for full details). 

     

    Please ensure that your child/children can attend all four days before booking a place at a summer camp.

  • Black Country Day in school - Thursday 14th July

    We will be celebrating ‘Black Country Day’ at Oakham on Thursday 14th July. Our children will be participating in Black Country themed learning activities throughout the day. 

     

    The day is intended to celebrate our local history and give the children opportunities to learn more about the important role this region has played in British history.

  • A sea of yellow!

    A massive thank you to everyone today who wore yellow to support and raise awareness for the fantastic Cystic Fibrosis charity today. A number of families have asked how they could donate.   • Oldbury Fire Station Open Day

    Oldbury Fire Station will be holding an open day on June 19 from 11am until 3pm.

     

    This is a great opportunity for families to come and see what we do, meet their local firefighters and take a look around the fire station and see our vehicles and equipment.

     

    There will be a range of activities available on the day including:

     

    • Road Casualty Reduction Van with VR experience – Make real-time choices and see how they impact your safety on the road with our immersive virtual reality experience from our Road Casualty Reduction Team
    • see our technical rescue teams and hydraulic platform in action
    • watch a LIVE road traffic collision extrication and trauma demonstration and see how we cut casualties out of vehicles and deal with casualty trauma
    • hot fire training demonstrations
    • refreshments will be available from our friends at the Red Cross
    • and much more!

     

    Don’t miss out, pop on down to Oldbury Fire Station on the day. Entry is free, you just need to turn up!

  • Friday 17th June is Cystic Fibrosis Day

    Friday 17th June is wear 'Yellow' to support Cystic Fibrosis Day - "Whatever you do, do it in yellow."

     

    It will be a non uniform day to raise awareness of the charity but we are not asking for donations into school at this time, however there is a link below to this really important charity for more information.
