• Road Safety visit for Key Stage One & Two

  Today we were visited by Karen from the Road Safety team to talk to the children about staying safe on our roads.

  Both assemblies gave the children an opportunity to brush up on their road safety knowledge, share top tips for walking safely, to and from school and to remember to 'Be Bright - Be seen!' on the dark winter mornings.

  Our Reception children will also be meeting Karen on Thursday to find out about the importance of 'Stop, Look, Listen & Think!' when crossing any roads. 

  

• Macmillan Coffee Afternoon - Friday 27th September - update.

  Thank you to everyone who joined us in the Children's Centre on Friday afternoon in support of Macmillan. Once, again, we were supported by lots of generous donations to enable this important event to go ahead.

  Thanks to the Oakham staff who organised and ran the coffee afternoon along with our friendly volunteers. Our coffee afternoon has become an annual fixture on the school calendar and the good news is that we are currently at almost four hundred pounds, with a few cakes left to be sold!

  As soon as we have a final total, we will update you all - until then, please pass on our thanks to everyone who supported us and we hope to see you again, next year!

• ALDI Kit for Schools competition!

  Attention all ALDI shoppers!  We are participating in the  'ALDI Kit for Schools' promotion so if you spend £30 or more at ALDI, please bring the stickers into school and add them to our poster.

   

  Each completed poster will be sent off and guarantee us a free sports kit. In addition, 20 schools will also win £20,000. 

   

  We only have until 3rd November so don't delay - spread the word and lets get collecting!
