Families who are eligible for financial support for free school meals will be able to collect a weekly voucher for ASDA (£10 per child, per week).
This is intended to supplement the households income in order to provide a lunch at home or to be brought into school if using the emergency childcare provision at Oakham.
All families with children who are on this years 2019-20 Pupil Premium List (ie have had the option of the P/P trip allowance) can collect this weeks vouchers from 9.00am tomorrow. Vouchers will need to be signed for at the school office and are only valid for each week - Weeks can not be rolled over into bulk collections.
This scheme will run as a short term measure until further guidance has been provided by the Government for their proposed voucher scheme.
Dolce has ceased providing meals for our school so please DO NOT respond to any communication from them or any other school meal provider either by telephone or email in regards to accessing a packed lunch or e-voucher.
Due to an issue with our meal contractor, Dolce will not be supplying any meals during the partial shutdown of school.
Please do not respond or follow any direct instructions from Dolce regarding access to school meals during this period.
Children using the 'Critical Workers' school child care provision will need to bring a packed lunch every day they attend.
From tomorrow, families who are eligible for Free School Meals (not the Universal Reception & KS1 offer) will be contacted directly by school to arrange emergency funding until the governments FSM scheme is fully operational.
All families will need to access school via the Darbys Hill entrance as the West Avenue gates will only provide staff access to the car park, not the KS2 playground.
All children will enter and exit school through the Key Stage one playground - Doors open at 8:45am.

The Government have finally released the Critical Worker list and guidance - CLICK HERE.
IMPORTANT: Please read the following guidance from the document:
'If children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading. That is why the government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.'
Schools are, therefore, being asked to continue to provide care for a limited number of children - children who are vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home.
Thank you,
Nick Skett
A letter was sent out with children today providing further information on arrangements for the partial closure next week. A copy can be found in the 'Parents >Letters Home' section of the website.
Following today's announcement, we will be closed for the majority of families from 3:30pm on Friday 20th March.
Online learning activities will be available to all children not able to attend school from Monday 23rd March. Full details will be online by the close of school on Friday.
We are currently awaiting further clarification regarding meeting the needs of children of 'Key Workers' and for 'vulnerable children.'
As you will appreciate, this situation is evolving rapidly, and I would ask for your patience and understanding over the next 24 hours.
We will be publishing further information via the school website and on this app as soon we are able too.
All children that are fit for school should continue to attend until the end of the day on Friday.
On a personal note, I would like to thank the, children, their families and all of the Oakham Staff for their commitment, support and positivity over these past few weeks.
Thank you,
Mr Nick Skett
