  • Informing school of Positive Covid-19 cases during the Christmas Break

    Fri 18 Dec 2020

If your child or any member of your household or 'Christmas Bubble' requires a COVID-19 test and subsequently records a positive result over the Christmas holiday, please inform us using the Google Form link below.

This information will enable us to keep track of cases in the school population and monitor return dates in January 2021.

Please be assured that this form will remain confidential in school and has been designed to require minimal information from you.

Information regarding any cases in Oakham Bubbles during the first few days of the holidays will be shared with you via text following Public Health Sandwell guidance.

Your willingness to share this information will help keep the school as safe as possible for all of our children, families and staff and enable school administration to function as smoothly as possible on our re-opening.

Thank you for your support and assistance.

  • New guidance on isolation periods for Covid-19 cases.

    Fri 11 Dec 2020

As you may have seen in today's media, the Government has reviewed the isolation period for Covid-19.

Therefore, from Monday 14th December, any positive cases and households will be subject to a period of 10 days rather than the current 14 days.

Hopefully we will not need to close any more bubbles before the Christmas break but looking forward into Spring 2021, the new 10 day isolation period will mean less time being lost away from school, should any future closures be directed by Public Health Sandwell.

  • School Christmas Parties

    Thu 10 Dec 2020

'Tis the season for Christmas parties! Here's a quick update on dates for year groups and how we are running parties this year.

    • All parties will be Covid-19 secure so each class will have their own party in their room - year group bubbles will  not mix.
    • This year, we will not be asking for any donations of party food or drinks - staff have been allocated a budget to cover these and a small gift for every child.
    • Children can wear their own clothes on their Christmas party Day - no donations are expecting or required. Please come dressed ready to party as there will not be any changing facilities available during the day.
    • Nursery, Reception and Year One will be popping out to our Wooden Lodge on the KS2 playground to see a 'special visitor' - this visit will be appropriately socially distanced in bubbles during the AM/PM sessions.
    • Party Dates
    • Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2 - Wednesday 16th December
    • Years 3, 5 and 6 - Thursday 17th December
    • Year 4 - Friday 18th December
    • Please remember - no Christmas cards or toys to be brought into school this year.
