  • Access to Squid Game - Netflix & Social Media & Halloween Costumes

    Fri 22 Oct 2021

We are aware that some children in school have viewed clips from the TV series ‘Squid Game’ either directly on Netflix or clips shared via social media.

The 15 rating is due to the violent scenes and inappropriate content for primary aged children. Please be vigilant with your child’s viewing and online activities over half-term.

Due to the huge popularity of ‘Squid Game’, Halloween costumes are now available in shops for children.

We politely request that your child does not wear one of these to our Halloween disco after half-term.

Thank you for your support with this matter.

  • Harvest at Oakham

    Fri 22 Oct 2021

Thank you so much for your fabulous donations of harvest food, it will really make a massive difference to our 3 fantastic charities that we are supporting this year. They are the Smethwick and Brickhouse food banks as well as the Black Country Women's Aid.

Class 10 and 11 performed a wonderful assembly on Wednesday, reminding of us of all the people who help us to 'gather' our harvest and all of the things that we should be thankful for.

  • Darbys Hill Road – Proposed Zebra Crossing Facility.

    Tue 19 Oct 2021

Funding has been made available to provide a controlled pedestrian crossing facility along Darbys Hill Road.

The scheme proposes to introduce a Zebra Crossing which will provide safe passage for pedestrians to cross Darbys Hill Road. This will adopt the existing speed table/ patrol crossing point which was made redundant 2 years ago.

A 21 day consultation period commenced on 14th October, 2021. This consultation period allows representations to be made by local residents on the scheme proposals.

I would strongly urge our families to engage with this consultation and support the much needed zebra crossing project. A plan of the proposed works is available to view HERE

Please express your support by emailing Joe_ferrara@sandwell.gov.uk before Wednesday 3rd November, 2021.

    Thank you for your support,

    Mr Skett
