We have been notified that a sibling of a child in Reception has been diagnosed with viral meningitis. This is the more common and less serious form and can be treated with antibiotics but tends to get better on it's own within 7 - 10 days.
The risk of someone spreading the infection to others is generally low but we felt that it was important to make parents aware.
I'm sure you would join us in wishing the child and his family a speedy recovery.
For more information and signs to look for if you are concerned, please access the NHS website.
The book fair will be returning to Oakham on Tuesday, 22nd October and will be with us until Thursday, 24th October. The fair will take place in the
dining hall on:
Tuesday at 3.40pm – 5.00pm
Wednesday at 3.40pm – 4.20pm

Children will also have an allocated time within the school day to have a look at the books on offer. Please come along to browse and purchase the latest books by some well-known children’s authors and pick up some book bargains! The school benefits directly from sales as they link to a reward scheme whereby we claim reading related benefits.
We hope to see you there!

Many thanks to everyone who has been busy shopping and collecting stickers at ALDI. Thanks to your support we have managed to complete one poster already - however, we still need your help as we have another poster to fill!
Please keep your stickers coming and hopefully we will be able to claim another free set of PE equipment and secure another place in the prize draw for £20,000!!
