As we approach half-term and an opportunity to enjoy a short break from our learning at home or in school, we wanted to take the opportunity to send messages to the children who have not been here for a while.
We are counting down the days until we can ring the old school handbell and welcome everyone back through the gates!
Until then, please stay safe, keeping doing your best, don't forget to send in your home learning to the teaching staff and stay strong!

It's not quite Netflix but we hope you like them and there are a few more to come...
We are in the process of allocating our places in Nursery to start September 2021. If you have already completed an application form there isn't anything else that you need to do and you should be receiving a letter offering you a place in the next couple of weeks as long as you meet the set criteria.
If you haven't yet applied, or know someone who has a child born between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018 and may be interested in a place please collect an application form from the school office and send it back into school with relevant ID no later than Monday 8th March.
In previous years we have been able to invite you to into school to visit the setting but this year with Covid restrictions that hasn't been possible. We have created a 'virtual tour' of Foundation Stage where you can see the children and staff in action.

We have added additional Phase 3 Phonics virtual lessons and accompanying resources to the C-19 Home Learning Section of the school website or use this link to directly access them HERE
We thought that some of the younger children might enjoy finding out what our School Bear has been up to while some of them aren't here to look after him.
We will be regularly posting picture updates on his very own page on the school website and school Twitter account.
We have been informed that some of the roads surrounding the school are currently being resurfaced.
Please be aware that this may lead to some disruption on local roads towards the end of the school day.
Place 2Be's Children's Mental Health Week runs from 1st - 7th February this year. The focus for it this year is all about expressing yourself, whether that is through writing, dancing, drawing or singing.
There is a website (the links for which are below) which includes a virtual assembly, a message from The Duchess of Cambridge and ideas of activities to do.
If you would like to make or do something creative and 'express yourself' we would love to see it so please ask your parents/carers to take a photograph or a video, send it in to your class email and we can upload them on to the school website.

Thank you for all of your support with accessing the online learning so far this term.
There is still uncertainty about when all children will be back in school and whether this will be a phased return or not for certain year groups.
With this in mind we feel that it is vitally important to reintroduce ‘phonics’ into the curriculum for the children who are working from home.

One of our Year 3 parents has shared these 2 useful websites that you may find interesting to access. Children can work towards getting different rewards and badges including a 'Blue Peter' badge, I've always wanted one of those!
