Swimming
We offer swimming sessions at Haden Hill Leisure Centre as part of our PE provision at Oakham. School staff accompany the children and help teach ability groups with qualified SLT instructors.
All transport and swimming lesson costs are met from our school budget.
Children in Classes 10 & 11 (Year Four) will each spend a term learning basic skills and developing swimming techniques. They are also given the opportunity to achieve swimming awards during their block of sessions.
This year, we start the 2021-22 academic year with Class 13 (Year Five) participating in swimming sessions during the Autumn term because of cancellations in the last academic year due to Covid-19.
