Year Five & Six pupils visit to Westminster

Our House Captains and UKS2 School Councillors recently enjoyed a day in Westminster to visit the House of Commons and meet our local Member of Parliament, The Rt Hon. Sarah Coombes. 

 

During a guided tour of Parliament, they spent time in the public gallery to observe the House of Commons in action and complete a learning session in the Parliamentary Education Centre. 

 

Despite being a very long day, our Oakham ambassadors thoroughly enjoyed the experience and impressed the education Centre staff with their enthusiasm and knowledge of British democracy!
