Royal British Legion visit to Oakham 4/11

It was wonderful to welcome back Colin & Christine Hickling from our local Royal British Legion to kick off our Remembrance fundraising appeal for 2024. 

 

They attended our KS2 assembly and helped the children understand the history of Remembrance and observed a minutes silence, following readings from our children. 

 

Oakham's own Remembrance ceremony will take place next monday with our traditional wreath laying ceremony at 11am.
