We are honoured to welcome our special guests to our Remembrance Assembly today.
Our VIPs included the Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands- Stewart Towe, Colin Hickling and members of the HMS Charybdis Association and Mr Roger Roberts - WW2 Royal Navy Veteran.
Following a short discussion about the importance of Remembrance and a Q&A session with Roger Roberts, children and staff from Y5&6 participated in a formal Remembrance Service, complete with readings, a bugler and an impeccable two minutes silence.
Many thanks to everyone who ensured today was a poignant, memorable and unforgettable experience.
Please tune into BBC Midlands Today tonight at 6:30pm as we were visited by a film crew to record the day for posterity! (The item will also be available on BBC iPlayer later tonight).
