Plas Gwynant 2025 - Day 2

Opening the curtains to reveal the day and we couldn't believe our luck. With sunshine and clear skies forecasted for the entire day (shared with a smiley forecast from Jacob and Mia) we knew we were going to be in for a treat.

Loading up on carbs, making our sandwiches (no strange creations this year!), we bounded into the classroom to find out what adventures awaited us. One group hit the beach, exploring the beautiful coast of Borth Y Gest. Usually, we are drowned during our 'beach day' - but not this year. Climbing, exploring and sunbathing (almost...), the day spent was a beautiful one. The children were even successful at pushing Mr Kettle from Matrix Rock - a begrudging well done, Isabella and crew... More to follow from the other groups activities tomorrow.

With clear skies all day, tonight was the perfect time for a night walk. Lying on the floor, staring at the stars, it was magic personified. Walking back to the centre, there was a genuine buzz in conversations. But, the final act was to await: climbing through a pitch-black tunnel to reach the 'light' of night-time hot chocolate and cookies. Even though there were a few tears, every child showed their resilience and we were bursting with pride.

Right, bedtime. We wonder what tomorrow holds for us. 😌
