VIP Assembly - West Brom Legend Brendon Batson MBE OBE

It's been a great morning welcoming Brendon Batson  to Oakham. 

 

He shared the story of his early life, his career and challenges as a professional footballer in the 1970s and early 80's and later work with the PFA and 'Kick It Out' campaign. 

 

Brendon's positivity and message of resilience, friendship and optimism shone throughout his visit and inspired some amazing questions from the children too. 

 

What a great start to a tuesday morning and an inspiration to our Oakham Learners!
