VE Day

Next week is the 80th anniversary of VE day and we will be marking it in school with different activities and celebrations. On Wednesday there will be a special assembly to remind children about the sacrifices that people made but also with a focus on forgiveness and reflection. On Friday 9th May children can come to school dressed in red, white and blue,  a WW2 themed outfit or if any children are in clubs e.g. rainbows, guides, beavers, cubs or scouts they can wear their uniform.  There will be class based activities during the morning and then in the afternoon we will be celebrating with a 'street party' in phases. We would please ask for donations of crisps, biscuits, cakes (pre packaged please for health and safety reasons) and pop or squash. We have ordered ice lollies for everyone and are aware of individual children's dietary requirements and allergies.
