The wearing of school uniform is compulsory at Oakham and the help and co-operation of parents/carers is appreciated.

We believe wearing school uniform encourages togetherness, ownership and helps to promote a positive ethos and sense of belonging. 

As members of our 'Oakham Family' the children are proud to wear their Oakham Primary uniform and school colours. 

Our uniform is as follows:

• Navy blue cardigan, jumper or sweatshirt

• white or pale blue blouse, shirt or polo shirt

• Grey skirt or trousers

• Sensible black shoes/trainers (no open toes or heels)

• Grey or white socks

During the summer months children may wear a blue and white summer dress or plain grey shorts.

Jewellery must not be worn in school with the exception of single ear studs - hooped earrings are not permitted for health & safety reasons. 

Religious items are permitted but should be removed for PE where possible. Items such as bracelets will need to be covered in PE with a sweatband. 

For children with pierced ears, one set of plain studs may be worn, but should be removed at home before school on PE days unless children can remove them themselves.

If your child's ears have recently been pierced and studs cannot be removed for a short period of time, medical tape will be given to your child to cover these during PE sessions.

School staff are not allowed to remove earrings.

We recommend that children with long hair have it tied back.

PE Kit

Indoor kit - white PE t-shirt, navy blue shorts and black pumps

Outdoor kit - blue sweatshirt, tracksuit bottoms/leggings and trainers

PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL UNIFORM IS CLEARLY LABELLED WITH YOUR CHILDS NAME.

The school cannot accept responsibility for any loss, or damage to, individual property.

Lost property is kept for a reasonable time. All unclaimed items will be displayed before final disposal.

We work in partnership with Ace Embroidery, a local company based in Blackheath, to supply our branded uniform range.

We have many items of donated school uniform available in many sizes. All of the items are in great condition, washed and ironed before being added to the rack.

if you can't find a particular item or size, please ask at the school office window and we will do our best to help as there are additional uniform supplies in school. 

A small donation can be left if you wish but families are not obligated to - it's more important for us to get the uniform out and be worn. 

Any donations of unwanted uniform, in good condition, are always welcome. Please hand these in at the school office.
