Thursday 1st October is the first school census day of this academic year. We have to supply a variety of data to the local authority as it is used as a ‘snapshot’ of our school. An important part of this is our school meals uptake on census day as it is used to generate part of the school funding model for the next financial year.

This is where I need all of our families to support us; please encourage your child to take a School Meal on Thursday 1st October, as it will have a direct impact on how much additional funding we have in the next school budget, April 2027.

Believe it or not, for every pupil eating a school lunch on the October census day, we receive additional funding and I cannot stress how important it is for us to secure as much of this funding as possible!

As an added incentive, every child who takes a school meal on Thursday will be entered into a free prize draw to win £50-00 worth Showcase Cinema Gift Cards. We will draw a winner from Foundation/Key Stage One and another from Key Stage Two during next Friday’s School Celebration Assembly.

Thursday’s meal choices are available to view on the website and school app. Please log onto your Parent Pay account and book your meal - contact the school office if you do not currently have one and they will be happy to guide you with setting it up.
