On Friday Nursery had a fantastic trip to Ash End Farm! We began the morning by hopping on the coach with our grown ups to make the journey to Tamworth, we had some excellent renditions of ‘Old MacDonald’ on the way. When we arrived, we went on a guided tour of the farm, learning all about the different animals and how the farmers look after them. We even got a chance to become farmers, feeding the greedy goats and chatty ducks. We visited the hen house and got to meet the latest additions to the farm, baby chicks! We loved stroking their soft feathers, they were so cute! Next we visited the mommy hens and got to choose our very own egg to take home. We also ventured into the reptile house to see the scaly friends on the farm; iguanas snakes and a very hairy tarantula! The day was topped off with a trip to the amazing playground; we had so much fun climbing, riding tractors and jumping on the giant trampolines. Thank you Ash End Farm for having us, we had a brilliant day!
