What an exciting day our Year 1 children had on their recent trip to Twycross Zoo! From the moment we arrived, there was a real buzz of curiosity and enthusiasm as the children prepared for a day of discovery.

One of the highlights of our visit was taking part in a 'Who's Who In The Zoo' expedition, led by fantastic tour guides. The children became true explorers, learning all about different animals and their diets.

We travelled through different areas of the zoo, spotting a wide range of animals along the way. There were lots of “wows” and “look over there!” moments as the children eagerly pointed out their favourites. The monkeys were especially entertaining, and we spent time watching them swing and play.

However, one of the most talked about parts of the day was… not seeing something! Despite our best efforts, careful searching, and lots of hopeful peeking, the tigers remained hidden from view. 

By the time we headed home, there were plenty of tired legs but lots of happy faces and stories to share. We’re sure you heard all about the expedition—and the mysterious missing tigers!
